Summary

Medical Consulting Group, LLC (MCG) is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused IT Support Specialist to support technology operations across client and internal environments. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong communication skills to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology performance. The position includes direct client support, hardware and software implementation, and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to drive successful technology outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Implementation

  • Install, configure, and deploy computers, servers, network devices, and related peripherals (e.g., printers, scanners).
  • Support and maintain Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and mobile devices including iOS.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and data-related issues through direct user support.
  • Provide user assistance and training for standard business applications, including productivity, collaboration, and tools.
  • Manage and prioritize help-desk tickets while maintaining accurate records, documentation, and updates within ticketing systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to implement technical solutions, resolve escalated issues, and support project-based work.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in IT support, technical troubleshooting, and customer-facing service delivery.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and the ability to quickly learn healthcare-related or industry-specific software systems.
  • Experience working in healthcare or other highly regulated environments preferred.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to service quality and continuous improvement.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a professional and approachable way.
  • Provide training, guidance, and recommendations to end users on systems, tools, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal staff, clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to address issues and support successful technology operations.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Requires full in‑office attendance; remote or hybrid work arrangements are not permitted.
  • Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed based on project demands or support requirements.
  • Travel required at times for client support, onsite troubleshooting, or project deployments.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. for equipment installation, configuration, and transport.
