A Tier 4 technician embodies the highest standards in both subject matter knowledge and execution of tasks and projects. Advanced problem solving, ingenuity and the ability to think on one’s feet are some of the hallmarks of Tier 4 and would include such responsibilities as:

• Management and execution of client projects (build and deploy cloud infrastructure, network design and implementation, security platform deployment, etc.)
• Handling escalation of client issues from helpdesk and Tier 3 technicians
• Becoming the subject matter expert on new platforms and technologies as implemented by the company
• Assisting other departments with various internal projects
• Travel for on-site network setup & workstation configuration as needed
• Personal development, including vendor certifications such as Microsoft, Watchguard, etc. (company will cover the cost of certifications obtained while employed)

Qualifications of a Tier 4 technician at Liberty would include:

• Extensive knowledge of networking concepts (DNS. DHCP, VLAN, VPN, VoIP, IPSec, SFTP, routing, load balancing, etc.)
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Azure
• On-premise server experience is a plus (Domain Controller, Group Policy, Server Roles, Permissions, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in the IT field
